The Rightful Head

Oh Jesus Lord, our rightful Head,
We praise and worship you.
For who you are and what you’ve done,
Is overwhelming true!
Not only we, but God Himself,
Is truly satisfied.
And by your all-inclusive death,
His purpose justified.

The purpose of eternity,
That purpose made in you.
The subject of the universe,
The center in God’s view.
The mystery hid in ages past,
Is now revealed by thee.
The church, your bride and body Lord,
Divine economy.

Ascended Christ, you are the Head,
Above and over all.
Whose theirs and ours, in every place;
The name on which we call!
You are the Leader, Master, Lord;
In life and death, we’re yours.
Not one decision we would make,
Or break the household law.

So now as members with your life,
We bow and bend the knee,
And to avoid insulting you,
Give all authority.
We honor, bless and lift your name,
By keeping unity,
And through the blending of each part,
Would build your body.
