Ageless Plan

In past, a prior age,
God had a chosen head.
A leader, priest and king,
To meet His every need.
A creature who by God was made,
And always perfect in his ways.
A bright and shining moringstar.

But fault was found in him,
Oh how the Daystar fell.
His heart was lifted up,
Inside he said, “I will”.
Violence in his midst was full,
Cast out from God, no longer pure,
Forever, he will be no more.

So God turned to a man!
His image to express.
Made after His own kind,
And filled up with His life.
The head of the created race.
The fallen angel to replace.
The stage was set for all mankind.

But then the serpent came,
With hatred in his heart.
Corruption was his aim,
Rebellion to impart.
Injected death inside of man,
And causing darkness was his plan;
Resulting in confusion.

Oh, what was God to do?
What recourse did he have?
With such an awful view,
The background being black.
But how in actuality,
Now came His opportunity,
Eternal wisdom to display.

Before all time began,
Before created beings.
The Godhead made a plan.
The purpose in His dreams.
O good pleasure of His heart!
Mysterious will, why we were marked,
Intention none can overthrow.

Now in Christ, His Son,
The battle has been won.
The Devil’s work undone.
And heading up begun.
The church established by His death,
With all things subject, He’s the Head.
Recovery through His life and light.
