The bright white sun shines on your beautiful face.
You smile a bit and have a few hands to shake.
You walk in circles wondering if anyone knows the truth.
But they don’t see you when the lights go out in your room.

Do they hear those tears fall from your eyes?
Do they know what I know about your little white lies?
You live in the past because it always seems safe.
But then you remember those memories you thought you threw away.

Your caught in the middle with too high of stakes.
You can’t talk because you don’t know what to say.
And everyone around you thinks that you’re just fine.
But that’s just a word use to keep them away.

Do they hear those screams when you cry for help?
Do they know what you go through every time you close the door?
Do they know the images that you see at night?
When the lights go out, do they know you’re not all right?

I hope you know that you’re not alone.
I hope you know that I still see your face.
I hope you know that I pray for your fate.
I hope you know when the lights go out I feel the same.

Because I love you and there’s no disgrace.
Because I love you and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Because I love to be the one that makes you feel safe.
Because I love you more than I can ever say.
