I am just a Timothy!
Like-souled with those before.
I do not seek my own things,
And your concerns I can’t ignore.

I don’t ask this from perfection.
I have not fully obtained.
Yet it comes from my pursuing,
With Him, as my goal and aim.

What outstanding knowledge of Him,
Have you learned, are learning still?
And what are you willing to suffer,
To count as loss that He might fill?

Do you possess all that’s required?
Have you laid hold of every gain?
Is there no more of His person,
That perhaps you might attain?

How much do you really know Him?
And by others how are you found?
Do you have your own self-righteousness,
By your virtue have you been crowned?

And is it the same in private,
When no other person is around?
You know it’s more than humans,
That in your company surround.

But now I ask you weeping,
To observe this walk and rule;
To be full-grown and have this mind,
Not like shameful, earthly fools.

See we both have a real future,
A heavenly commonwealth.
If you will eagerly await our Savior,
He’ll transfigure your body to health.

So, stop and ask these questions.
When last did His face, you see?
With His power and His fellowship,
And how much and to what degree?

I ask them not in judgement.
I ask questions not in boast.
I ask them not in anxiousness.
But in love, I ask the most.

I pray, He as, the God of peace,
Which surpasses every sense,
Guard your heart and your thoughts,
And His overcoming life, dispense.

Phil. 2:19-21, 3:7-21
