The story of the Children of Israel, the story of the church and even the story of our own Christian lives is a story of loving the Lord and of learning to give, maintain and develop our first love towards Him. When we love Him absolutely, even loving what He loves, and hating what He hates we are restored, enlightened, enlivened, encouraged and restored. However, when we lose that love, or even if we don’t maintain and develop it, then decline, degradation, depression, and darkness come in.
This story is about learning these lessons, about learning to set our whole being on Him.
