Forever has he whispered, broken truths in man’s ear,
Instigating failures, activating fears.
Through malice and deceit, ceaselessly reminding all,
Circumventing blame, pride before the fall.
Constantly he’s broadcasting, programming and producing,
Different strokes for different folks, but identical story introducing.
Incessantly he speaks to you, maybe time you speak back!
To remind him of his failures, to remind him of the facts.
Tell him despite best efforts, tell him “the best laid plans”;
Say, “my God foreknew me, even before the world began.”
Remind him of the two gardens, Eden and Gethsemane,
Remind of the drops of blood, of the God-man on His knees.
Remind him his culpability, remind him of that cross;
Tell him what you’ve gained, since Jesus suffered the loss.
Remind him every morning, even in failures you can discuss;
For while we were yet sinners, that Christ died for us.
Share with him the promises, from our God, who cannot lie.
Declare “it is finished”, with full faith in your reply.
Remind him that it’s over, to live well his remaining time.
Remind him a man named Jesus, willingly paid for your crimes.
Remind him he’s just a bully, who can’t deal with his own sins.
A worm actually envious of man, playing on the world’s smallest violin.
Tell him he’s merely projecting, tell him by the fruit you know the tree.
Tell him with your own damn hands, you’ll throw him into the sea!
So, speak and remind, and remind some more, if needed even write it down.
But whatever you do, don’t forget, what he lost you have found.
