Who am I? I am simply one of those that has come forward to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem; and to the myriads of angels, to the universal gathering; to the church of the firstborn, who has been enrolled in the heavens (Heb. 12:22-23). I am a part of the chosen race, the royal priesthood, the holy nation. I am a person acquired as His possession so that I may tell out the virtues of Him who has called me out of darkness and into His marvelous light (1 Pet. 2:9). I am a minister of the new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life (2 Cor. 3:6). I am no one, yet I am a member of the one body of Christ. I have no answers but I cannot deny His speaking and offer only the experiences He has seen fit to bestow upon me, both positive and negative, both personal and corporate, both of my natural man and of His indwelling spirit. I don’t seek to speak my own words but all the words of this life (Acts 5:20) that have been inscribed on my very heart (2 Cor. 3:3) through all of these experiences.
The goal of this blog, my writings, my poems, both those of a personal nature and those tied to Him and His word is from this perspective. I’m not trying, nor desire to convince anyone of anything, but I will stand at my watch! I will watch to see what He will speak to me and write that vision plainly upon these tablets (posts) that even he who runs by may read it (Hab. 2:1-2). From my experience, just as teaching and speaking creates a further understanding of a subject, writing can also. So, I seek not to promote an idea or myself, but Him Who was, Who is, and Who is to come. If shared and read by other believers and it provides some aid to their going on in the Lord then I give all thanks and praise to Him. Whether it is right…. I cannot but speak the things which I have seen and heard (Acts 4:20). Additionally, I am not attempting to expound scripture, only share the light received through my digestion of the word, fellowship with the Lord and study of the truth. If you ask “where did I get that”? I have no answer besides Him and His speaking (Matt. 16:17, Gal. 1:12). I leave it to the discernment of the body that accepts and rejects all things according to Him. May the Lord cover me in His precious blood.
