Waterless Clouds

You’re a cloud that holds no water,
For your spirit you have no use.
In a trail of chem and the way of Cain,
You promote, of the body, abuse.
You are an animal without reason,
And like a hog you turn and tear.
You’re a hidden reef in their love feasts,
And growing among the wheat, a tare.
Now with all the metal inside of you,
You craft weapons of every kind.
So that you might cut, not the heart,
But the covenant of God, rewind.
You believe by it you reflect the Son,
But really foaming out your shame.
Like wild waves and swelling things,
You murmur, complain and blame.
You’ve degraded the ordained order,
Reversing the use of body and soul.
Left your station, and out of measure,
Instead of your spirit being in control.
Woe to the lined lies filling your sky,
Deceiving others and divisions make.
And it’s not my place to revile you,
But the Lord rebuke you and forsake.

Wow! Was this written with the devil as the object?

I have a poem based on the same passage in Jude: http://withwills.com/2018/03/25/the-ungodly/

I guess more of a collective of the ungodly men (Jude 4), the fallen angels (6) and yes, the devil himself (9).

Thanks for sharing! I’ll check it out.
